Why the name “Woodleaf”?
Woodleaf was an organic peach orchard in northern California. Started by Carl Rosato in the early 80s, he purchased the raw land in the Sierra Foothills with money earned from replanting the mountainside of Mt. St. Helens after the eruption in 1980. He brought the orchard to life, as well as help establish organic practices through the CCOF, being one of the very first to be certified. Our founder, Charlie, had the great honor and privilege to live and work at Woodleaf for many years, and called Carl family. The world recently lost Carl, but in honor of this incredible endeavor, the name Woodleaf lives on…🍑
